Aww Sugar, Sugar

Okay so I need to preface this story with letting you know that Brandon and I both set goals this January to look smokin' hot by the time we moved down to California so we wanted to eat healthier and work out more. Working out... is the easy part! I love to bake and I love to bake treats for others. So yesterday I hosted a baby shower for one of my good friends and I made... 2 batches of cupcakes, rice krispy treats ( a HUGE pan of them) and muddy buddies (one of my all time... can't stop eating them... favorite desserts). So because I was baking them all Brandon was my official taste tester so he was full of sugar, just like me. We felt so gross after eating all those sweets so we went to THE BIGGEST LOSER website on nbc and re-motivated ourselves to live a healthier lifestyle. Now part of the process, we decided, was to get rid of all the goodies that we have in the house. We threw out everything that was causing us to eat so much sugar... even the sugar itself!!!! That was huge because sugar is a staple, but we figured that if it wasn't in the house then we wouldn't be tempted to make delicious treats! So on Sunday, at church a wonderful couple from the ward invites us to dinner. We accepted and said that we would be glad to bring something! Well... just our luck, she asked us to bring DESSERT! Because it is sunday, we can't just go to the store and we don't have anything at home to make treats with... it's all in the trash. Brandon suggested (don't worry I would NEVER do this) that we just take the sugar out of the bottom of the TRASH CAN! (but he was just kidding!). So here we are... dessert-less and all we can think to bring is... JELLO... with no fruit in it and no whip topping to go on top. I'll tell ya, never throw out the sugar!

  1. OH my gosh, that is hilarious. You guys are so great, we could never throw out sugar or we would surely die (or maybe I should say I could never:)
