RENO

Over Valentines weekend Brandon and I piled into our little nissan sentra with two other big guys in the backseat and headed down to Reno for a Job Fair that Brandon and the Guys were wanting to go to. Brandon found a killer deal online to get a really nice hotel for really cheap so the hotel was quite impressive. We left on friday and got to Reno at about 9 at night. We are unloading the car when Aaron (one of the two guys) realized that he did not have black shoes to wear with his suit the next day. So we get to our room drop our bags and head back out to find shoes. We drive around until we find a Wal-Mart and he gets a cheap pair of shoes. Then we went to Olive Garden where we were going to play the "it's his birthday" joke on Aaron. It was awesome! The brought him a nice big cake and they split it between the four of us... little did we know the joke was on US not on Aaron because our waiter gives us our bill and yep... you guessed it... we got charged 6 bucks for a cake that didn't even taste good. That was the most expensive joke we have ever played and will never play again. One of the weirdest parts of our trip actually occurred on the drive to Reno when we stopped so that I could use the restroom (also so that the guys could buy some snacks... it was their goal to buy snacks from every gas station). So we stop at this little shell station that had a tire shop to the side of it. Now you have to picture... we are in the middle of Nevada... there is NOTHING around... and so when we pull in I jump out the car really fast and a guy walks out and is like "Hey you gotta headlight out"... and he helps brandon fix it. Well i come out of the bathroom and the guy is looking at our tires with a flash light and inspecting them. He then tells brandon to back up into his shop so that he can lift the car to get a better look. Brandon proceeds to pull the car into this shell station in the middle of nowhere Nevada. The guy lifts the car and begins to explain to brandon that our tires are going to wear down at anytime and that we need to replace all of them. This whole time we are all looking at the tires and the guy is giving us these crazy eyes and he was swinging a wrench around and making phone calls about different tires in the shop. He proceeds to tell us that "them tires are dangerous and if you wont make it much further... you will NEVER (emphasis added) be able to make it." Brandon is like... hey man we gotta get going we aren't interested. The guys continues to tell us that we are going to die as we are pulling out... it was SO FREAKY... (probably one of the funny stories you had to be there for) So we did make it to Reno without changing our tires but it was my job to get them changed while the guys were at the Job Fair. Everything went great at the job fair and we are even more excited about working for CW Driver in April. After the job fair we hung out and went to a movie (Twilight... don't see it... the books are wayyy better) and enjoyed an evening together. Sunday we drove home... great Valentines day..... riiiiiiighhhhhht
